Hey,

I had a great time despite of the weather on saturday... luckily it was dry during the bbq.

The Nürburgring was great...ask Gaz, he was my co-pilot.
I found a nice video on the internet, some of us are in it :D

Thanks again for organising a fab meet.
Weather wasn't too great on Sat, but it could have been much worse - just ask those who stayed at home!

Mr D is busy downloading all pics and vids, so they should be up somewhere soon.

Thanks to Storm for allowing Mr D to accompany him on the track.

Hope to see you all again soon.

Indeed I was, and thanks for that drive around it, Erwin :)

The first 14KM or so of our lap can be seen in the following DIVX film (sorry, the camera ran out of battery power after 14km or so :( ):

http://volvo480.northernscum.org.uk/mee ... gring2.avi

WARNING: It's 154MB! But it also includes Suddy causing chaos by driving right up to the barrier without having bought a ticket!

Also, it makes the whole experience seem slow, but take it from me, it wasn't, as we hit 180KM/H and then into corners :D

If you can't see it, try downloading Media Player Classic and associated codecs from:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/

Mine and Mrs Dragon's thanks to everyone who came for a fantastic weekend, was more fun than I'd ever have imagined.

Big Kudos to the rest of the club management for their dedication and organisation and allowing such a smooth 3 days :)

More pics and videos to follow, as I get round to sorting it all out in not much spare time...
Cheers!

The trip over there was a blast. The camping was spacious, the people where friendly.

Had a time of 12min 18 on the ring. Not bad for first time out on a circuit.

Drove her top speed on the way back home and everything went without a hitch.

Thanks to the organisation I can look back to a great time.

And a little storry:

As wee all know I did some restauration work before Euro meet to my turbo.... so the car was finished some 5hours before leaving... some drinks to my brother for that ;)

It is an evening 8.00pm.... lets role out... must get on ferry at 2.00am and compleate 250km...

it was planed to go with two cars (volvo and honda), because the car was "new" and i didn't knew much abot her... so - towbar and honda for safety

Image

first we had to do some 20km to pick up my GF

Image

in half way I saw something hapened - cluch cable snaped off on CRX...
 :badmood: ..... what to do.. leave car, try to fix it.. we have some 1.5 hours till its last time to leave to catch ferry...

so pulled the car at my friends garage to make some decisions.... as we all are optimistic minded - decided to go to parts shop find that cable.... but we weren't lucky they hadn't it in store  ....

Decision - go with one car, so we puted all the stuff to one car, got GF who was a bit nervous and flored car to catch ferry....

gladly we made it...

waiting to get on board:
