Time for a scots meet...

Have been talking with Paul about having a get together north of the border. Obviously after the Euro meet possibly June/July as it gives people a chance to get time off/ 480's out of hibernation etc? Nothing definite as yet, i'm open to suggestions! Looking at Glasgow or Edinburgh to keep it relatively central.
What do you think?

Great idea Roo.
our Roo is good at suggesting meets -..........does this mean you're organising this one?

June/July sounds good. Can do 1st 2 weekends in june, but not last two. July is looking ok at the mo, but there's a possibility I could be away the 1st 2 weekends.

We had 6 cars at the last one at Yellowcraigs - how many can we get together this year, I wonder..............

Sounds like a good plan, i can finaly meet some fellow scots 480'ers!

summer is pretty flexible for me (sponging student) so whatever job i do get im sure i will be able to get time off.

speaking of other 480's spotted a black one at a distance where my parents stay (alyth) doubt it was, but worth asking if it was anyone from here...?

im glasgow based but anywhere fairly central sounds like a good place for a meet. afterall what would a meet be without the opportunity for a convoy! (cue banjo get-away music) - i'l get me coat...

I was thinking, instead of the usual East/west arguments, why dont we meet up in stirling and go for a blast through the trossachs up towards the highlands, on the Ft William road?
Then a quick meal courtesy of DonPaulos magic tongs and then off for a night on the lash wherever the toss of the coin decides that we go!

We do have TV up here you know (in fact, we pioneered it!) but you might have to watch Sky as i dont think you'd get an England match on scottish TV!!
You'll be out by the 1st round anyway

I'm actually going over to Germany, Murf... I've got to surround myself with a nation hoping to see us fail one way or the other tho....

Of course you have England on Scottish TV... you passionately support every team we've ever played!

But obviously being just about in the north sea i'll probably need some southern help

I'm busy on the w/e's of 1st 8th, and 23rd July but thats all. So i'm leaning towards a June meet. There is obviously interest and it would be good to break the 6 car barrier! Still we'd just have to turn up in Pauls car park for that.

Well this has the potential to be a rather good meet. I'll put my thinking cap on and see if i can come up with some more definite ideas/venues/dates etc.
