Don't bother, Richard - it IS an excuse - she knows noone will laugh at her car and that ALL 480s are welcome, and people are welcome WITHOUT a 480 - she's just got no bottle or commitment :P

Come on Kirsty, sort it out...

You have to remember that at the last meet, noone knew anyone at all, noone had ever met - I met Jamo and Lee in Sollihull, and after a brief chat, look round cars etc, we set off in convoy and met up at the meet - Everyone got on really well, we let each other drive our cars up and down the lanes and it was great fun - we all knew each other at the end, but the start was the usual silences... so noone need to fear going to a meet - we have all been there, not knowing anyone and it ALWAYS works out well :)

Well, fine - if you're not up for it, you're not up for it - not sure why you put your name up for it in the first place - if you'r shy, I'm sure you haven't become shy in the last week?! :(

Anyway, you should've seen Martin Holmes last year for a definition of shy, and he turned out ok from it!!!!

ive always been shy
i just dont act it online.
face to face im like a mouse
ask any of my friends. i have no confidence at all
im also not totally sex mad as some of you probaly think ;) ;)

you best be joking mat! lol ;)

its not my fault my poor car has been roughly treated in its past. ive cared for it so much. ive changed almost EVERYTHING except for the engine, even then i was going to get a different engine put in for £300. a multi point instead of a dual point.
i do love my car. it just hates me :cryhard:

i do want to go...... just ill probaly get lost knowing me :( plus im already going away in august (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm) oh and also might be going to watch top gear at the studio (or barn whatever it is they film in)
so thats loads of time booked up already!

if you put my name down and i dont go does it matter?

Hey Kirsty,

No worries, you should use this great excuse to try and get over the shyness. Got to say that Gaz is right last year was very funny all stood around my living room looking at each other, then I said OK what about the BBQ that changed everything!

As to cars, well see my thread on the Turbo I sold and problems with that. Latest thing:

Yesterday the Celebration I loaned to the guy I sold the Turbo to, the engine blew up!

On the way back from the NEC yesterday my wife's rather expensive BMW had power steering problems and we got towed away.

My Vauxhall Omega which got pushed off the road by a Range Rover driver just before Xmas had it's repair and I collected it on Tuesday and the workmanship is the worst I have ever seen so it is going back next week.

So don't talk to me about cars I hate them and will only be using my mountain bike for ever!!

Regards in frustration

Chris

that is serious bad luck mate. more to the point its got to make u think how was the bloke driving ur celebration to blow the engine and did he drive the turbo in the same way. in which case ur repairing his new turbo for him to break again.
