Yes, finally, the time has come to merge EBoard and PHPBB!

A few weeks ago I have converted EZBoards messages to PHPBB on my own computer. Some of you have seen this

But the next step, merging the converted forum with our 'real-life' forum seemed impossible. Nowhere a merge-script could be found. And... I had too much work to do for school. But now I have taken a different approach:
1) Putting a copy of the real-life forum on my computer
2) Converting EZBoard directly into this copy
3) Putting this merged version back on the server

This seemed to work! But does take some time. So in a few minutes the forum will be closed. (I could leave it open and tell everyone that messages made after I make the backup will not survive, but I think this is better). I hope to have the merged version up and running later in the afternoon, entire process shouldn't take more than a few hours

I have just opened the forum, please wait with 'heavy/important posts' until I have determined it's all safe again

Think the search funtion deserves some attention.

But feel free to look around!

Seems to have been fixed now (search option), also old posts can be found when using the search function

Finally, after days of trying and testing it has been done!

Enjoy the merged forum, some of you will see that their posts count will have skyrocketed

Pity all the "lost" users ended up with a joining date of 1970, throwing the memberlist off kilt...

Think I can fix it, but dunno what date to give them otherwise, August 2002 or something, or the date of the oldest post we have on the forum I guess

I agree it's a tricky one to sort... maybe it is better left as 1970, at least it's obvious then that these are accounts that were transferred
