Rat look is cool. I'm big into the classics and theres nothing like an old ratty classic, but when it comes to more modern cars, it's a bit try-hard in my opinion.
Rat look to me isn't just some matt paint either, to me it's all about full on rust and dull, rough paintwork.
If you are going to rat a 480 though, matt black with scores and chips all over the paintwork, slammed suspension, and some of them standard 5 spoke wheels split rimmed. And thats just to start; Do you want it to be road legal?

Gotta agree Robin, that does look nasty...but kinda cool. Did you mock those Taurus alloys on grey yourself or were they already like it?
I like the thought of doing my Taurus grey, but couldn't get the colour/stroke right (my Photoshop skills aren't brilliant either!)...
Rat look on a 480 is a big X. Might look cool as Darren suggests-matt and rough...480 split rims from standard 480 alloys would look cool. Hiding a secret powerplant under the bonnet and looking a bit beat up would make it look really mean. Like some kind of 'Devil' car posessed!

No rat look for me.
The 480 looks so nice reflecting the light. Why ruining that with matt paint?
I'll have a new paint soon. Got some rusty paris blue doors, wich will be repainted. She will be shining again
