hausser rims

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

hausser rims

Post by Philip_480_Turbo » Tue Mar 21, 2006 7:27 pm

Hi everybody,

Could anybody please tell me the brand of the original rims, which are fitted with the hausser kit on these pictures? And are they really a part of the kit or did they just fit them because they thought it looked nice?

Kind regards,

Hi Phillip and welcome to this great forum!

The wheels fitted to this 480 are called Vega.

They are still available from Volvo and are a 16 inch wheel.

Steve. :D

Hi,

Thanks for the warm welcome :)
I think your talking about the wrong rims, I meen the rims fitted under the white car with the hausserkit, with the black center.

I know, however I was wondering if they really are provided in combination with the hausserkit or not, as I have a hausser kit but don´t have those rims...

Those wheels are from BBS !! ;) , and are 15 inch.

Sold out at BBS !, if you want them, search at ebay for RS wheels which fit on the Golf or a old BMW 3-series with 4 *100

But don´t get a shock when you see the prices for a good set...........

I´ve found these not to far away from here, but I´m not sure if I want to buy them as I didn´t know if they are the same as those fitted originaly with the hausser kit. They Are dirty on the photo but are in good nick, the proper size and not to expensive (€150,-).....

What should I do :( ??? Start searching for bbs rims or are these the same? I assume these rims have hubcaps that look like the bbs ones, but I´m not 100% sure....

Dont want to upset anyone but i dont think they are either i saw a set on a merc ages ago and they said they where made by Cartarter (or something brain dead cant remember) rims. Either way they are probably not produced anymore and are dead expensive.

Nope, no RH wheels, look the same but are different ! I think AEZ or ATS.

But that wheel on the pic is a alloy which was sold with the Kit by the company Hausser (now it´s a Toyota dealer ;) )

So if it has the Size 7J 15 H2, buy them and restore.....

Hi Steve, I doubt that volvo ever sold 16 inch wheels for the 480.
Biggest size was 15 inch : Cetus, Taurus, Vesa (multi spoke wheel) and another wheel I cant remember the name of it.
A berlin member knows it, he has them on his Hausser 480.

Flamered GT-Turbo 09-1995, Yellow Koni's, Intrax springs,Palm Beach,rear speakers,middle arm rest,Roboumod,Vega's, CT 906 radio/cd with 850 R amplifier, Pioneer speakers allround.
Hausser front and rear bumper, Black Diamond sport clutch, lightened flywheel, flowed head.Audi TT recirc.Stainless Cat replacement, K&N airfilter,Magnecor KV85,NGK colder plugs.
Soon ; Audi/VW calippers, 280mm Renault Sport brake discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads.

Yes it is the same size, and they don´t need much restoring as they are extremely dirty but in good condition.... I´ll think I´ll buy them.

Thanks for the replies!

These are not! Hausser alloys !

This nice set of wheels was sold in Germany as a original Volvo wheel.

7J15, and the biggest tire had the size 215/40 :D

Nice 360, the handling is hot. Put a B230FT from a 740 Turbo in it and the car burns everything....... :hopping:

i think those rims suit the 480 much better than the 360. somebody part ex them for some 22" chrome alloys with spinners :)

Yes your quite right, my mate did say they were stamped volvo, but the only reference we could find to them was the hausser picture.

A 740 turbo engine is in the works for that saloon once all traces of rust have been banished from the shell.

Murf, you can steal my avatar, i don't mind, i don't post here too much anymore after having sold on my 480's. I keep coming back for a read though when ever i have dark thoughts of buying another 480 for some economical daily use.
