modified grille

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

hi The wing is missing on the drivers side and the bumper wants adjusting , hoping to get finished for summer, nice idea and works with a bit of effort and patience.

To me it looks odd.
Maybe without "bad-look" it would look better. Only my personal opinion, but anyway well done ;)

Hmmmmmmm....
My personal opinion is that I find that bad look not to bad but to be honest that modified Grill with the turbo sign on it.. ehhm... I don't like it @ all..!!

The bad look looks a bit to rectangular....!! I prefer the Bad look of the
480 GR-A... :badmood: It just looks really mad... like a dangerous snake a Viper... :badmood:

How do you get the lights or clusters out with this styling mod? Also, i thought that front panel was flush with the lights. How did you do it?

Hi POE!

Love it to death mate!

I'd like to see it with clear clusters and all adjusted up okay.

I always think what mine must look like coming up behind other cars rather briskly!

I feel that he 480 has an aeronautical front end, quite aggressive but a bit "baby-faced" ( like the Nissan 200SX S14 front end compared to the S14A!).

Some slant on the nose cone over the clusters looks great.I do think that cutting and re-sealing the clusters would be well worth the time,to create that smoother finished effect.

I also think it would look great with the clear clusters though! The turbo badge I reckon is spot on but could be moved a bit closer to the nearside.Like the mesh!

Id have one!

:hopping:

to get the lights in and out i separated the cone from the light holder , they are in three pieces anyway before they are glued together at factory ,just unpick resin then i had to fix the light holders to the car first then put the lights in then the nose cone over the top ,pop the lights up then use fixings to secure nosecone to the light holders where they were separated and hey presto , just a bit time consuming i suppose but worth it in the end. I love the clear light clusters but at the time of rebuilding the car the first time around i didnt know they existed until i started to notice 480s on the road a lot more.[/list]
