Wind Deflector Side Window

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

yep, we had them, was about the first things we removed from that car. It looked like an tractor with this and the mudguards.
We even didnt make a picture when it was on the car. Yes, it is so ugly!

Hi Ettore! Also member here? :hopping:

You know me as "lavendel480" on the Belgium 480 forum. But sometimes their members got some annoying misunderstoods, that's a pity. So I want to post also more of my messages here....It's more funny here with those UK people :D. Am I right?

In your opinion those windows nails or not worth to mount them? I bought a set second hand but now I got them in my hands and hold them by the windows and I see they're extremely big and hesitate to mount them. :? So I wanted to know some experiences about those defelctors. Thanks for your comment anyway!

MatBat has them on his Legacy twin turbo over here in New Zealand and his thinking they might need to come off.

My Legacy turbo does not have them but it might be a good idea because at high speed you hear the wind whistle.

BUT The legacy has diff type of door to a 480 that's why I might need some. The window has no frame (very cool)

On a 480.... I'd not want those near it.

Hoi, I had already a sneaky suspicion that is was you (Stilo post and offroad 480).
Yes, most of the people here are from the UK. They certainely aren't Dutch, but it is not always peace here

Window deflectors really ruins the areaodynamic look of the 480 (that's also the reason why I dont like mud guards aside that these create rust)

I would put them in the vitrine. I think they are quite rare.

But taste is very personal. So If you like them there's no reason why you shouldn't install them.

:) D@mn gotcha! :kill: Yes It's me....and now I use the name of the color of my car, so that's up to date now instead of the MSN site.

Well about those nails again. There are some little clips on it. Can I put those between the window rubber? Or do I have to glue them also? I did not try it yet cause I don't want to crush the rubbers. If I take a look at the picuter above you can see a little black border....what's that? Is it double-sided tape? Mine did not have that and the are also something different of shape. They made for aftermarket also?

I have absoluty no clue how these deflectors are installed. We bought the car 6 years ago and it was the first thing my dad removed so I dont have a clue.
But I assume it just clicks in the rubbers. It was easier to remove the deflectors then the mudflaps.
