Front bumper/Spoiler

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Front bumper/Spoiler

Post by Kemo » Fri Oct 28, 2005 5:44 pm

Anyone know what volvo/or other car models have almost same front as 480, so you "easy" could make it fit?

Read that 440/460 have pretty much same.. But what about s40 and those models could a spoiler from them fit on a 480?

Yupp i know about them, but they are to small and dosent help the ugly spiky front of 480s IMO. I want a "fatter" spoiler. Those one dont change the apperance much.

And it dident really answere my questions since i dident ask for 480spoiler i asked if anyone know if there is any car models that might fit with afew adjusments. Since i know it is pretty much impossibel to get a custom made 480 front spoiler (except the one from lee)

I seriously doubt you'd get any bumper of any other car to fit. Well you could..... but it'd look shit!

There was talk of reproduction bodykits being made here but don't think its going ahead so far.

Or get a honda civic!

hello again,

i saw an toyota mr2 with a bomex front spoiler, i think it wouldnt be that difficult to modify it to a 480 front.

after some photoshopping... the bomex front will look like this:

the front costs about 200€ on ebay - so that shouldnt be a problem
as for the expertise, i saw many pics of your car and the things you have modded, i think you have more than enough experience with it.

so come on share your experience with us :)

i contacted the seller on ebay for these spoiler. the spoiler is just a bit too high and a bit too short, but i think i will try it.
anyway i will have to cut the spoiler in many pieces at first, to remove all the big curves and to make it look more "cornered" like our volvos.

edit: picture above updated
