Wax

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Wax

Post by shaughnessy10 » Sun Sep 25, 2005 9:30 pm

Anybody know a better wax than T-Cut? My bonnet has loads of small scratches, grit I suppose, and it's faded a bit. T-Cut just isn't up to scratch (ha, ha).

Which T-Cut are you using? I use Colour restore, and it works a treat! An unbelievable smoothness, for removing scratches use a fairly gritty polish rather than a wax, then go over with a colour restoring wax to bring to a smooth shinier colour.

At least thats how i do it! :hopping:

If you're wanting to cut the paint back then use some G3 or 4 by farecla. Tis good shit. Is your paint laquered?

yeh G£'s what i use, highly recommend it! Just don't expect it to give you a perfect finish without waxing! I found all sorts of dull/bright patches that were easily removed by T-Cut colour restore wax
