Pic request - what have you done to your engines looks?

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

@Bakke

I think he's talking about styling the engine by painting it etc.

I think some people have smoothed the inlet manifold, saw it done on a B18Ft in a R5. Looked smoooooth! But not sure how long it would really take.

Very 80's,

I must confess I'm not too keen on the vibrantly painted cam cover.
I do like the idea of looping the spare inlet ports back on themselves though (might have to steal that ;)

I'm thinking a nice glossy red for the engine block, I have already replaced some of my boost pipes with samco.

The outlet volvo boost pipe is shit (direct from turbo) it's like 6" long
but you HAVE to use a volvo pipe because of direction and gearbox in the way.

Hmm I'm going to need to sort that out.

Hi Dave!!!

Just my opinion and not exactly a massive donation here,but Lee's Inlet Manifold is polished which makes a big difference in my opinion.

You may or may not like to start with that.

Im a subtlist!So,I'd go for having the block in silver or black and the head in silver still.

Silver for the block only so you can see how clean it is or when you have a leak you're more likely to fuck those stains off smartish!!!!!

Steve. :D
