just wondering, will these spoilers have any positive effects on the car at all, or are they just to look good? Eg. do they smooth out the airflow under the car?

I would imagine they provide more down force...hence the reason Volvo put them on in the first place...Volvo probably never had to worry about down force prior to the 480 due to Volvo cars being so damn heavy :D

...and they also look good

You look a likely contender as it was from a Brummie, Sutton Coldfield if i remember correctly.

Can't you rub back paint and have another go?(sorry if this is stupid Idea!!)

P.S - what are evryones opinions of me getting a spoiler for my 480? Was definately gonna get one for my black one if I had restored it but now I have the red one I dont think it will look right on it as its the red with black bumpers kind. Opinions please...

Yes! get a spolier and paint it red it will look v. sexy with the black bumpers! its a nice contrast.

Lee, have you tried G3 or G4 made by farecla? It's great stuff for polishing / cutting back stuff after painting. It's not too abrasive but does the job nicely.

G3 is very good stuff however you need to allow the paint to go off fist. As i am air drying this tales slightly more time

Baffler wrote:I'd like one too but I don't trust any postal or courier service as I've seen first hand what goes on behind closed door's in these sorting centers.
So I suggest you pack these spoilers in sufficient amounts of bubble wrap and box them up nice and tight with plenty of fragile stickers applied
or else there may be some unhappy customers...Again, count me in for one and let us know whats the best way of payment.

Cheers for going to the trouble Lee
LOL - I work in logistics, and I've seen what happens too. And I can confirm a fragile sticker may as well say "KICK ME" on it, because it's bound to get a harsh time. Best not to label it, just package it properly and hopefully none of the goons will screw about with it.

keep up the good work Lee :D I will be ordering one once the 480's safely tucked up in the garage for the winter and the V70 takes over. Provided you will be taking orders later in the year?
