Front spoilers - for sale

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Front spoilers - for sale

Post by lee » Fri Apr 08, 2005 11:47 am

As some of you know I stick to my word. In another tread i said i would find and fibreglass moulder. Well the wait is over.

I can supply the front spoiler in the following:

FIBREGLASS £25
CARBON FIBRE £65

THIS IS NOT FOR A GROUP BUY

PM me if you want one.

I must add that i am not blagging you with promises that i will not keep. I have helped many people out here on the forum.

If you have any doubts about me just ask the forum about me.

I can post but must check how much this will cost.

As for painting. Afraid this is no. Its not that i can't paint or have the facilities to do so its just the cost of getting all the different colours. As i don't use spray can.
You could however use a spray can yourself which would cost about £10

Sounds excellent Lee...Good job and price.

How is the finish on the fibreglass ones is it rough or smooth? Have they been moulded to the originals? What colour do they come out? Suppose it doesnt really matter but just thinking about painting...

They have been moulded from the original spoiler. They come in a smooth finish in white.

Carbonfibre ones come ready to be fitted

I can't see a problem with posting outside the uk. As this is at the end of the day 480 club europe. Therefore it would be wrong for me to limit these to the uk. But again I haven't checked out the postage.

However anyone wanting one who is attending the luxemburg meet can order one and will can bring them over with me.

Ok. I'm not making these spoilers myself as thats not my trade. I have paid upfront to have a mould made by a moulding company. This is going to take 3-4 weeks due to other jobs.

The prices which i have mentioned are estimates only.

I will not be taking money from people until i have mine done and i can show people one done and dusted. Also i must add the fact that i am a none profit person

It doesn't matter if I only have the one it will still cost the same if i order 20 hence its not a group buy.

This offer is a on going offer.

I must add that this is not a blag.

I have posted my post a little early I know but this was due to DBS messing people around and cancelling the order some 4months down the line. I am being upfront with the whole thing.

The one i am having moulded will be carbon fibre.

Also the general finish unless you want white will be matt black so that it can be used without the need of painting.

I hope this has cleared up a few points.

Hello Lee,

Glad to see something happening!
Here, at the Volvo Club of Hungary I received numerous requests for these spoilers. If you would consider posting to Hungary, I would collect the orders and send them to you all at the time.
I can recommend you a courier, let's not leave this to the pesky Hungarian postal service...

Cheers!

I'd like one too but I don't trust any postal or courier service as I've seen first hand what goes on behind closed door's in these sorting centers.
So I suggest you pack these spoilers in sufficient amounts of bubble wrap and box them up nice and tight with plenty of fragile stickers applied
or else there may be some unhappy customers...Again, count me in for one and let us know whats the best way of payment.

Cheers for going to the trouble Lee

Eurm, I've got some wheels to buy in luxemburg so won't have enough for the spoiler, would be nice if you could find a way of shipping it out, mind you I could always get it sent to my brothers place...but if we could have an idea of how much for it to be sent here...

hurrah - finally can replace the front spoiler... if only I can get the wrecked original one off...those damn screws have rusted up beautifully! To the drill!!

Will be very interested lee! Would it be possible to pick up - I'm a brummie meself see? Perhaps I could arrange for any1 near and around the route between Brum and Reading (M40 corridor) to slap a coupla quid down for some RON98 and I could do a personalised 480 courier service - bound to be safer than the commericial courier services... - as me and my chariot are often to be found on that motorway with nowt but the spare and some jump leads in the boot!

Whadya think?
