I took one to the LUXEMBURG meet as promised.

After a lot of testing as in about 1300 miles (2100 km) and also a 20 minute stint at 140mph (220kmph) the spoiler is fine.

So now its time for some pictures. But i must say that i haven't had time to clean the car after her little journey.

Hi Lee!

The spoilers look great you've done good there! :D And I don't feel so bad about my own bumper and cracked fog now either ;)

I'd like to get a fibreglass one as my original one's split half way across now which is pants... :(

You say they come matt black, can that just be sprayed & lacquered over? Has anyone done this?

Where in Brum are you? I pass through on a regular basis so could collect. Always good to meet other members too :)

Cheers!

Lee - I'm after the carbon beauty.... hmmmmmmm!!!
Can pick up from brum if its ok with u - can still run a courier service for anyone inbetween midlands and london (mine's a Guinness guys ;) )

Whats the turn around? Can get a cheque in the post if you need funds up front, or I can get you cash on pick up.

On that photo you will be using the line of screws you can see on the left of the red paint. You will also need to drill two extra holes on the side of the bumper to attach the spoiler.

Are the holes at the side not already there on all models then? Yes, the phillips screws, joining the grille to the bumper. Take them out and the spoiles sits under and the screws go back in.

My dealer had two drill 2 extra holes for the outer ends of the spoiler, they weren't there on my 1996 ES.

The 2 side holes (larger diameter than selftapers on front) are already on my '94ES but it did have the remains of a spoiler fitted when I bought it - maybe they were only there if your car came with spoiler fitted as standard/optional extra from new? No big deal to drill them if not anyway.
Stu.

*Lee - if you can bring a £25 f/glass one up to the N.Wales meet I'll give you c.o.d. to replace my long gone one! many thanks, Stu.
