dbs turbo chin spoiler

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Lets see.

Yes gaz your car will be sorted in 3 months. 14 months later its just covered in dust.

If they were to be ready by scotland and were ordered december thats 2 months. Roughly speaking you have around 8 months to wait. Thats if you ever get them

Sorry for bitching. :badmood:

Soon to find new fiberglass moulder. Someone who will give a date and stick to it.

hehe, sorry, I don't think I was in my perfect mind thinking there was any chance they'd be ready by the scotland meet.

/Me crosses off days in calendar, actually, make that crosses off calendars.

I would be lying if I didn't say I'd be quite pissed off if I'd ordered one.

We have a disadvantage too.

I have to travel 150miles each way to the batcave where the average temp is f*%king freezing and before this i have to load up the 480 with my tools.

All he has to do is put some fibreglass matting and resin together.

I haven't ordered a spoiler so this is only slightly related.

When I took my 1st 480 (RIP) down to get the very first set of dbs fibreglass arches she was finished in good time as promised (even gave me a lift to the station).

Now this doesn't help whatever spoiler problems (I know nothing of them) everyone may be having but thought I'd just post something positve and which I was happy with involving Dave.

the score is , lees a tit - theres nothing worse than troublemakers - and people who make empty promises eh matbat .

if it was just as easy as ploppping mat and resin together - we could all do it tomorrow - it isnt .

As far as im concerned its a group buy for those people concerned , not outside parties . For the price im doin em , waiting a little bit longer shouldnt be too much of a problem .

Hmm, obviously you know something I do not.
Unless you are talking about my "pending" order for a spoiler many months ago, which I cancelled in good time and with valid reasoning.

If I pay for the best service I expect the least amout of time for my order.

If I pay for a normal service I expect a normal amount of time for on my order.

If I pay little for a service I expect a delay on my order.

I'm glad i'm not waiting for a spoiler because I'd be waiting a long bloody time.

The price is not the issue it's the lack of info I really don't want this to be hijacked by he said she said bollocks
please can you -

A) supply some sort of timescale (if I had known it was going to take a long time perhaps I would not have ordered)
B)keep us informed as to how things are going

nobody minds a delay its being informed that gives peace of mind
I had heard nothing and so became concerned that nothing was happening and the dosh was lost

I've tried to keep out of this but since it was me that instigated getting Dave to make some more spoilers then, i guess i have a right to my say.

1. Having had my arches done on the 2.0litre in the time quoted, and a top notch job too, i asked if Dave could do the chin spoilers since i lost mine on the M1 at speed :cryhard:

2. I sourced a good condition one to use as a mould and Dave said if we ordered 10 then he'd do them for £35 each plus P+P.

3. I wanted 3 making (greedy i know) so that left 7 more people to find.

4. To my knowlege only a further 2 (correct me if im wrong) actually came forward with the cash. At least 14 people showed an intrest i have the PM's so it is dissapointing only to have 2 others pay up.

5. Spoiler for mould was taken to DBS before xmas knowing that it would be the new year before he could make a start. Illness, other projects, etc,etc fair enough.

6. Lots of other stuff has happend some of which has been aired on the forum, I consider myself friends with all parties so dont want to get drawn into that, although i do have intrests in those matters.

7. I have been in contact with Dave via PM and he has always replied, the last one stating that he will start them in a couple off week.

Those are the facts from my side. I am pleased that Dave agreed to honour doing the spoilers even though ten wasnt ordered. However it is now March, one was for a bday present but that has past...too bad.

I want to put an end to all this were people are slagging each other off were all on here mainly due to the love of our 480's. This forum has brought me some very good friends.

Dave if you carnt get the spoilers done for the end of April then i'll come and collect the original and my cheque and we'll call it a day no hard feelings.

It stops you getting annoued at everyone having a go and we put a definate date on the whole thing.

Sorry for this rant but they were my idea i hope this clears things up.
