How not to treat a 480

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

How not to treat a 480

Post by Bakke » Thu Feb 03, 2005 12:32 pm

Vincent, I took the freedom to publish your other pictures about your crash, as you did in an earlier topic(http://volvo480.northernscum.org.uk/for ... php?t=5170)... I hope u don't mind, if not, send me a note and I'll remove them...
It 's sad to see a nice GT comming to its end like this. Luckelly you're ok and got out without serious injuries...

In an attempt to make you feel better, this photo was taken after I hit a wall. Just 2 weeks after I had if back from being repaired after some twunt I work with reversed into me in the car park after work and did £1,400 of damage to the rear. Then the following day some other twunt didn't tie something down on his van and it hit the drivers door (Another £500). Thank god their insurance paid out!

To make matters worse, I had a punctured trye that day too, the friend who took it hates Volvo's (most of my Friends seem too but then they own crap cars), he wanted to be able to see it at it's worst whenever he liked.

Well tanx you all for the care.
I'm ok or still a nut as before the crash.

And for the parts. there won't be any I guess.
I'm gonna rebuild the car as the insurance payed enough to accuire the needed parts.
But it will take time.
So if any1 has got parts like an intercooler, radiator, ACradiator and white pinkers I'll get her back. please tell me.
I've got enough spareparts like the hood, pop-up's, nose, bumper and stuff.
the engine and steering is ok.

Sounds like it's better than it looks. My brother wrote off my 440 in my old 480 arsing about and drove head first at me!

He took my bumper apart, damaged all the fixings and made a real mess :(. The 480 went away with a scratch on the front bumper and a crack in the number plate housing, tough things they are :D
