That is interesting, the side bits on mine are identical and fully painted as if they were part of the spoiler kit, certainly no sign of ever being damaged

Maybe a previous owner decided to tidy them up? I can assure you the genuine spoiler is a one piece, wrap around affair....

That does sound likely, I am finding quite a few things on the car that have been made to look intended but are not quite right

hit post reply, then just above the white box theres a row of icons - its the one like a box with the outline of mountains in it 3rd from right

Yep, broken end of spoiler, just as explained above.
It doesn't come in sections like some but all one piece, so those bits would need to go to fit a replacement.

just for information the 'captive nuts' inside the front bumper will probably still be 'captive' but will rotate.
makes for an intersting arm bending to get a pair of mole grips on inside and sufficient purchase outside to undo them
