stripping paint!

Any tips on automotive paint strippers? I'm thinking of repainting the lower sills in por-15 before overprinting. Anyhow I need to get some good paint off as well as the rusty stuff!
Thanks!

Don't bother with Nitromors - Like anything that "used" to be good, it's been made environmentally friendly, which means its no longer good for stripping anything.
Depending on how Far you want to go, a flap wheel on a grinder would get you down to bare metal pretty sharpish.
For treating rust pitting, I like Vactan - You'll find it on the bay of evil.
POR15 is Awesome stuff - DO wear gloves - I think it still has the warning on the lid that essentially says only time will remove it from your skin if you get it on it!
Finally, don't forget that sills tend to rot from the inside out - I'd squirt Vactan inside, then cover that with some Dinitrol 3125 (waxoyl is right up in the nitromors category)

Should also point out that whilst I've recommended Dinitrol 3125, what I actually use is Bilt Hamber S50
Dinitrol is good, but I think Bilt Hamber has the edge! Oh, and found this that may amuse people that have never used POR 15 before!

I recommend aircraft paint remover. A bit messy but works well.
