What do you think?

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

What do you think?

I've been playing around with Photoshop and I'm not the best so excuse the pic but it serves it's purpose.
I'm getting my car resprayed in April and having recently received some spare wings from a two-tone it got me thinking.

I've also shopped the wheels to see if I like them, They're Borbet type A's 16x7.5. Will have to get them sprayed white though.

I would keep the 480 completely black.

But some bigger wheels would look great indeed!
Volvo 480 GT-Turbo 1995 ~ 321 current
Volvo 480 Turbo 1994 ~ 305 got totalled
Volvo 480 GT-Turbo 1994 ~ 323 sold
Volvo 480 Turbo 1993 ~ 305 sold

I'm one of the weird people with a 480 who thinks they do look quite good as two-tones.

I'm also a great believer in keeping things authentic and doing things OEM+
So I would do the same as above - respray in black, have some 480 wheels from a GT / Celebration or another Volvo's that fit, get them refurbished or powder coated in dark grey and get some new clear front indicators from Skandix or someone. Would look 'subtle but classy modern 480 then'

Or you could always add a huge zorst

Or you could do this:

Saffron from the C70 & V70R, something I'd love to do if money/the wife would allow!! :(

Someone's already done it on here I think, not seen many pics though.

Back on topic: I think all black would look best myself, although I'm liking the idea of some deep dished wheels in white :)

Well I've decided against the two-tone. All black is my way forwards.
I'm not bothering with the clear indicators as I think the orange add something, though I can't put my finger on it.
I'm toying with the idea of wiring the side of the indicators and the rear side reflectors into the DRL's, S40 style.
I've got a stainless steel exhaust, not fitted yet and am collecting a front splitter, snow scoop and Hausser spoiler next week.
Turbo callipers are on the list to get, I have the discs.
Light tinting on the rear windows and I think it'll look tasty yet classy.
The wheels are a go, just got to save the pennies plus get them resprayed white, only come in silver.

This pic shows my idea. Though I removed the rear side reflectors, which I'm defiantly not doing, was just toying with PS

Hi Slash,

are tubo calipers better than 2.0 calipers? Is that a cheap or mod? Mine might need to be replaced in the next year or town anyway :-)

Tim, turbo calipers allow the fitment of vented discs, which the 2.0s unbelievably don't have.

Hauling my Celeb down from the license losing side of 100 is a trouser ruining experience!!

Slash, would you mind me asking where you got the spoiler from? And if you would have any interest in having it copied??

The Hausser spoiler is a copy. Talk to member Bodyparts Provided on here,
this is his website: http://www.wrcomposites.co.uk/automotiv ... parts.html
He doesn't properly list the Hausser spoiler as the mould doesn't belong to him but he can make one for you £160 plus postage, but I'm collecting mine.

Regarding the turbo brakes, the vented discs aren't the problem, lots about and relatively cheap.
The problem is the callipers, there are a specific type and you need the carriers to go with them. Extremely hard to find, especially when people braking Turbos are uncooperative or ignorant.
I might be able to get some by the end of next week, so alls ok.
