Footwell lighting!

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Footwell lighting!

Post by spree » Fri Jul 05, 2013 10:12 pm

I fixed the bulb for the ignition ring today with a new green LED and decided to start to install some footwell lighting at the same time.

I fitted a 12smd LED strip under the drivers side dashboard and connected it to the connectors on the ignition ring light so that it works on the courtesy circuit.

It's all fully reversible in case I didn't like it but I think it works great and I'm going to do the passenger footwell too.

EDIT - If anybody want's a light strip or two to add footwell lighting I can supply a 12SSMD strips with attached lengths of wire for £5.99 each.

For some reason you ended up hijacking/merging the original thread so I have split the topics yours to styling as a separate thread and the original part stays in the electrical.

If you wish the topic moved to electrical just post up and I will do so

Thanks GJ.

I was torn between styling and electrical for this topic but thought styling might be the best place as its an aftermarket styling modification even though it is functional.

Nice one. It's such an easy and useful mod actually. Especially with the 480's weak interior lighting. I just added the info that if anybody fancies doing this mod then they can get the strips from me for £5.99 each.
