Fixed Focus Foglights

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Fixed Focus Foglights

Post by Turbo Twat » Fri Oct 10, 2003 12:24 pm

Anyone got any of these (look in accesories section on club sight), look a lot nicer than the standard foglights!! I have, cost a fiver each from Scrapton-on-sea!! Doubt there that cheap dawn valvows. Shame a stone has slightly cracked one!! Will perfectly complement clear indicators when I get round to forking out for some!!

The Fixed Focus foglights do look much better, but also break much sooner! The older ones have much stronge glass. One good hit from a stone is enough to shatter the glass :cryhard:

A few months ago I bought a set of new Fixed Focus units, but I am waiting with mounting them as I want to find out how to protect them from stones. Maybe some sort of wide blank tape will do the trick?

The old ones have another big advantage; you can replace the glass.
You can order it at your local Volvo dealer.

Yep, that's also a big advantage. The only advantage of the Fixed Focus foglights is that they look so much nicer. They should provide more light too, but I don't use them enough to notice any difference...
