dial kits

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

I wouldn't hold your breath.
Best bet would be to speak to somewhere like lockwood directly (or via Halfords) and see if they'll make you some.
www.teamvolvo.co.uk

Actually there are members on here that sell them

I have seen white ones, and a really funky transparent blue on the turbo, oil and battery meters.

Bakke has white dials you could ask him where he got them from?

You can edit/print the little dials off from <a href="http://www.geocities.com/volvo480auto/" ... Thanks to Richard who made these.

Hey,

There are no white or blue or red or pink dials in the aftermarket for Volvo, Not even the newer models. I made them myselve. Just printed blue dials on photopaper on highest resolution, took the instrument panel apart and inserted them. It's a bit of a fiddle, but the results speak for themselves. Just have a go at it.

Grtz

Ted

www.volvo480turbo.tk

how did you get the backlights behind the dials to shine through if you used photopaper?? i made a set of transparent dials that let you use the original backlighting,i had them available for download from my primitive website but it seems to have gone belly up somehow!! if any one wants a copy i could email it (it is just a word file, ready to print).

simply print them out on overhead projector acetate and cut them out, you can change the colour using photoshop if you wish.looks pretty cool,i reckon!

Photo paper lets through enough light to illuminate de dials! Only problem is the infocenter that hasn't got any backlight, so that doesn't shine through.
Look at the movie, speaks for itself.

Gr. Murf, seems your dials are populour! If it's easier, I can host them in the files section of my V480 site for everyone to grab them from?

1995 480 Turbo, Flame Red Metallic, Jacquard/Leather
