Re: White sidemarkers
Ortovox, i sent an email to him the other day but haven't had a response.

Your suggestion sounds fine, could you confirm over the rear markers as well?

It would easier to order both at the same time so i wouldn't mind waiting until he's designed the rear ones.

side marks
Hi
The rear markers aren't finished yeat.
Björn isn't satisfied with the result on them yeat beacause they are a much more difficult to make. But hopefully they will be finished soon if he succeds to make them with vacuuminjection, that's what he said. The price I got for the rear pair is 300-500 Swedish kroner and that's about 32-54 Euros.

I can post here when he has finished them if you want.

Re: side marks
Something tells me that to keep in line with the front/rear lights, the front sides should be white and the rears darkened

1995 480 Turbo, Flame Red Metallic, Jacquard/Leather

Each to there own
I dont agree, the sides should be clear as the front lights are actually visible from the side profile, where as the rears aren't.

If you look at the red 480 on Buddo then you can make your own mind up.

Anyways Ortovox, whats your email?

Send me a pm or email me from my members detail

Each to there own, but i'm right
I agree with Jamo, need to be clear front and sides.

I think the orange makes the cars look dated, where clear ones seem to modernise??

So i'm interested in these front side repeaters and if this guy ever makes the rear ones clear too....

pol

Hi,

I've sent him an e-mail too!
What a surprise... just back from holiday and finally someone found who can make them. I definitely want them!

Recently I saw a 480 with red ones at the back (instead of orange ones). Looked very good too!

I don't know what will be the best:
- white ones with orange ligths inside at the back? (same as now, only different colour of glass)
- white ones with red lights inside at the back? (it's at the back and they burn at the same time as your backlights, so a red light seems quite logical)
- red ones which shine red? (same reason as previous).
- dark ones which shine red? (same look as back lights).

I think the last option is the best, but as an alternative the red ones which shine red are also fine! At least, I know you can buy red ones, but... where? Maybe at mr. Sweden? I'll send him a mail!

Greetings, Bart.

Bart's 480 Page

I want some!!!
I remember this post when it started but now I am very interested because I've just changed my old white front indicators for lovely white ones. White front/yellow sides.... clashes a bit.

So if you could pass my name onto the guy who does this that would be greatly appriciated becasue I have the cash waiting for him

James Carruthers
email: the_talented_mr_carruthers@yahoo.co.uk

sidemarkers
The email to Bjorn is fios@telia.com
To see how the white sidemarkers look on a 480 go to my page where Bjorn has made an article with pics(sorry swedish text only). Feel free to register and make your own articles in english. white 480 sidemarkers

I talked to him a few days ago about the rear sidemarkers and hopefully he will be able to make and sell them to. I will post here as soon as he has finished them.

regards Jonas

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub32.ezboard.com/bvolvo480.show ... Ortovox at: 9/11/03 8:42 pm
