Volvo grill badge was pretty crusty so.......

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Volvo grill badge was pretty crusty so.......

I thought some red hammerite might make it interesting and tie in the red stripes on the side of the car as I dont have the red stripe on the bumper...

I knew it wouldn't be long before I started modifying it....excuse the rest of the car as its got dirty again already...grr.

What do you people think..?

Ok, so its obviously unacceptable to you lol, I'm not %100 sure about it myself but it is certainly better then a rusty, crusty badge and it does bring some red to the front of the car, its also kind of knight rider and the car has been dubbed that by my sister in law...

What do you mean by the spoilers lower edge...? I take it you mean the lower spoiler and to my eyes that part does not have any crease that would define its lower edge so painting that red would look very odd I think...The only other thing I would do is possibly also paint the silver part around the grill but I didn't want to go too crazy in case I didn't like it and I like to keep my cars pretty standard externally.

Sorry I didn't wanted to sound rude or offensive....
just looking from the front - red badge stands out and something is missing for me.
As you have red trim stripes on sides, maybe you could add some on front spoiler, 1/2 -2/3 of inch, see the Beemer pics below what I ment, just bit narrower... ;)

Its ok man,I recon I get misunderstood all the time.

I see what you mean about the line on the spoiler now, looks good on that BMW.

I recon the badge stands out even more due to the fact that it is much shinier then the rest of the car right now..

OK I have had time to dwell on it and I have come to the conclusion that I dont really like it actually..

It was worth a try as it was as I said, very skanky, but now I want to get a nice condition standard chrome badge and also get the standard red stripe put back on the bumper.

Does anybody know if you can get the stripe from volvo still?
