Front Spoiler

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Front Spoiler

Post by CaptainQwerty » Wed Feb 17, 2010 12:48 pm

Hello everyone,

I keep seeing people mention the volvo 480 front splitter but I have never seen one. Does any one have a picture of one? And just incase I happen to fancy one where I can aquire one?

Thanks.

Antony.

Got a funny feeling it's broken off haha, that massivly explains what looks like screw holes on the bumper.

Some didnt come with front spoilers, my Celeb certainly didnt have one from new. I ordered one from Lee when he was still making them, I think if you do a search (top of screen on right) you might find another member producing them or maybe not...its been a while

It should not hold you up getting a respray as the car should be painted without the spoiler then the spoiler painted and put on. That way if it should break later on the car does not look silly !

I reproduce them, but one problem, I live in the Netherlands...
Better then original, slightly thicker.

HI there Greets, well, I have no plans for a trip to the continent this year, have you posted one to the UK before? If so any idea how much it might cost to produce & send?

One spoiler will cost 130 Euro's and that is included new fixing stuff.
Shipping I do not know, but it must be insured.
I think something along 25-30 Euro's.

It may seem that this price is slightly high, but that is what they cost.
As I said before, thet are better then original, slightly thicker then original, and I got the oppurtunity to see a earlier reproduction and even to put that on a 480. I am sorry for the maker of it, but fitment wasn't good, thickness was way too little and even the finish wasn't oke.

Auk has seen today 2 of my replica's and can confirm that they are as good as I say they are.
(as can 8 or so Dutch Forummembers, but they arent active on this forum)

I also have replica's of the sidemarkerseals(20 sets sold already) and rearlightseals (100 sets sold already)

Hi Greetz, I' still hunting for a used one but I'm grateful for you getting back to me, I'm glad there is an option out there for me if I cant find one

Can I ask about your- sidemarkerseals and rearlightseals these are the rubbers that go around the rear lights? The sidemarkerseals would be for the front indicator? I'm guessing here so please fill me in!

Thanks again

Sidemarkerseals are for the rear sidemarkers, the orange (or red if youre lucky) reflectors at the rear panel, above your rearwheel. These have the tendency to rot away with time....

I have a guys email address who is in the UK.
I paid £60 for my splitter I think it was delivered.

(Was months ago now)

To make it cheaper to post he cut it in half and put a flap on it.

So when it arrived I got it smoothed together at the local body shop fitted and sprayed all in all cost me £90 for the splitter delivered, smoothed together, fitted and painted :)

He would post it in one piece but it was a lot more expensive. This is mine after it was put on smoothed and painted.
