Rear bumper of my ES is coated all by paint.
Bumper is one scrap of plastic. (Don't look for the green square - This is irrelevant in this case)
As you can see on this photo, bottom side of this bumper is black.
Is it a plastic cover, or it's a paintcoat?

most are black. its all one but just not painted.
Though usually black, some are painted to match the color of the rest. I think its done by the dealers and not by Volvo itself in Born.
Normal black should match plastic-black the best, as it aint that good visible anyway. Just dont forget to apply a matt Color. When glossy, it will attract attention.
If you dont wanna use a spray can for that, i recommend 2component Opel "Rally Black".
We did use that at work, when some fool scratched unpainted trim etc. on a customers car.
