Making seat covers

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Post by DaKyy » Fri Apr 24, 2009 4:35 pm

I came across this album on Picasa while I was browsin 480 pictures. Quite impressive I must say.

There are a number of mechanical devices which increase sexual arousal, particularly in women. Chief among these is the Volvo 480 ;)

Nice one!

Looks like the orginal 2121 design, but in leather.

Thanx for the nice compliments. I have made these covers myself.

Hope you like the rest of the pictures too.

PS Can make more covers if anyone is interested. Any color, leather or fabric is possible. Will not be very cheap, but looks really awesome !

greetz!

Wow upholstering is a talent I envy, always impresses me when I see it on all those motor shows on discovery, good work there.

price seat cover

Post by Quasimodo » Thu May 14, 2009 9:54 am

I was afraid someone might ask that question today. I have to make an exact quotation, but my four seats (incl. door panels) cost me roughly 1000 euros. Of course the price depends on the sort of fabric or leather.

Outch - but quality usually has its price :)

Do you have any pictures of the whole interior fitted to your car?

Yep, I guess so. I can't seem to compromise..... Doing it less than perfect for a little less money just doesn't feel right.

I placed 2 pictures of a rear seat on my picasa-site. I haven't got pictures of the whole interior yet, because I'm still working on the dash. Other than that I'm working on changing the clutch  , so the interior has to wait a few days. there are also picture of the whole restoration on my site. Change the address into ......volvo480restauratie2008.

Have fun
