Hausser bodykit, your opinion please.

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Hausser bodykit, your opinion please.

Post by Auk » Thu Feb 26, 2009 3:05 pm

A few months ago I bought a complete Hausser body kit with the thought fitting it on my project, a Vase Green 1993 Volvo 480S, but now I'm hesitating! :? (my dad always say to me that I must keep the car original...)

Maybe you guys (and girls) can help me out?

A few pictures of the Hausser kit fitted on a Paris Blue:

It's almost too subtle to be worth it.

I guess it's the bottom lip that's the addition, and personally I don't like it.

I rank the 480 up there with the Mk1 MR2 as a car that simply looks best without ANY external addons, subtle or not.

Hopefully for 2009 - 1.7 Turbo.

Cruel to make a 480 look like that. I say lower your 480, nice rims and front spoiler and they look really nice :-)

I've decided: No Hausser kit for the Vase Green.

When I find a nice, technical 100% white 480 Turbo from '88, I'll think about building a 480 Hausser again.

Just the one that Hausser build in the 80's.

you can sell it to me or but it on your car. Listen to other peoples opinions, but you are the driver of the car so its all up to you.

You finally made the right decision Auke! I totally agree with martinholmesuk. Those Hausser spoilers and wheels look awfull imho, way too flashy and overdone.
