paint colour

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

paint colour

Post by SMOOTH 480 » Wed May 07, 2008 3:23 pm

Right after seeing the state of my car parked next to esta's the other night ive decided to paint my 480 !!!! As i spray at work this shouldnt be a problem
I was thinking satin black - with a gold tinted laquer ( gone off going with vase green think the satin will make it stand out a little )
Also i might remove the bump strips down the sides ??? has anyone got any pics of a 480 with no bump strips on ???

The idea is to make it completely smooth ( euro style ) adding a few touches of carbon fibre body styling as well
part of the reason for the satin black is we have a shed load of it at work and its fast going out of date hence scrapping it :D its also a rust inhibitor

Any suggestions welcomed as its well over due for a coat of paint

getting the bump strips off is a good job to start with as they have been put on with gorilla snot.

I have smoothend off the recessess it leave on one of mine and tbh looks good but is a painstaking thankless job.

thinners doesn't touch i. A hot wire and a scrapper are the best tools to use. I even tried melting them off with oxy and all that happened was it melted the bump strip but left the goo.

David's didnt come with bump strips...ask him for some pics, if you go ahead with removal, he would probably take first offer of them??

There are a number of mechanical devices which increase sexual arousal, particularly in women. Chief among these is the Volvo 480 ;)
