Stainless steel exhaust system

Hey all!

Well, as it is more styling and not really adding any power, i am asking in this section...

How much would you pay for a stainless steel exhaust system?

Apparently it is from the cat back (could include cat), but definately not manifolds.

The person asking is wanting me to make them an offer, as i have no idea how much they go for, i have no idea what to offer, and i want to be honest with them.

So price guides would be good!!

Are there any exhaust makes that make an exhaust kit for the 480? Or are they all custom jobs? Ive been scouting peco, supersprint etc for a while now and i aint as of yet found one

I dont think there are any off the shelf exhaust systems for the 480. They are too rare, systems like that are (custom made) Ã‚Â£400, so they need to buid them in bulk to be able to sell them for much cheaper, and it just isnt feasible with a 480. If you want cheap exhaust systems buy a saxo

Yeah i guess your right they are a bit of a rare breed! I think i might skip that option at Ã‚Â£400!, my little Ã‚Â£15 crome tip will do for now!

I chopped the end of the exhaust off and put on a chrome tip! Cos i chopped off a load before putting it on (else it sticks out and is sooo obviously a tip!) it looks like it is a proper stainless steel backbox!! Good old Ripspeed, think its the only exhaust trim that didnt make it to a cheap hatchback

I got mine done for Ã‚Â£260 but about 2 years ago, but now it would be alot more becoz of of the metal price increase. However, mine has 2 four inch bores so it would cost more than what you want done, unless you wanna join my noisy club.

Lol, so long as it doesnt sound cheap, loud is good! In the ideal world i would have had a twin exit custom exhaust, but i cant afford this at the mo, so this is a fab opportunity for me!!

I'll use my sister's digital camera tomoz after i have changed the oil and filter then get it proper warmed up and you can judge for yourself, and i won't feel offended if you don't like it. It aint to everyones taste but i love it and all my mates do so....

Tho TBH if i had twin exit i think i would want the two exits facing right back and not out at the standard angle...

Incidently, the best vehicle on the drive!!
