Anyone have more info on the SC Design Mod?

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

hello
I'm still wondering if there are more pics of this unique bodykit. I would love to see the rear end of this car.
Greetings Jasper

5,917.75 GBP or am I reading it wrong?
Behave!

If anyone in their right mind wanted to spend that much on a hatch they woudlnt buy a 480 ES! Thats about a £5300 premium for some nice wheels and some bumpers!

S3, Type R, R32 would be the first 3 in my list and this would be, hmmmm, maybe 500th!

Not to mention the crazy high price 480, but i wouldnt spend a penny on VW crap.

And who cares about a TypeR when u can have a much better 480Turbo.

there isnt a 480 turbo in the world that goes as well as a type r, handles as well or looks as nice! FACT!

If you think otherwise you are deluded!

i feel the ned to add to that, have you ever been in a type r?!

There isnt one piece of interior that hangs off, there isnt a knock or ratlle and you feel safe at any speed!

I cannot say that all, if any, of the above have ever been achieved in any 480 ive been in turbo or otherwise!

Boys, this forum is for 480 lovers. I don´t want to hear how good that car is, or whatever car. Nothing is better for 480 lovers than a 480 ;)

Image yes, nice bodykit on the back

Hey there,
I used to be the first owner of this 480 and had this bodykit made by SC-design,they now run their bussiness as SC-tuning located in Zelzate,Belgium.
http://www.sctuning.com/contact/coordinates.html
I bought the car new in 1995, its original color was the Darkgrey(in reality a metallic black!) and i had the body kit on first also in black, but it wasn't fully showing all the contours so I decided to do the repaint it in the Ocean race-Blue, that was used on that blue ocean V70-series in 2003. The wheels are Scmidt modern Line9x16 with 215/40/16 tires. The exhaust is a handcrafted stainless-steel part, produced by a guy in Belgium that is specialized in reproducing stainlesss-steel exhausts for classic cars. The suspension is a moderate drop usin redline springs(-30mm) and Koni-gas shocks. Before I had an adjustable suspension(originaly made for GolfII and adjusted to fit), but it didn't not approved on technical inspection(something like MOT in Brittain), even dow the handling was super!
I hope that this info can help u out, Best regards, Frank

Well, that is/was NOT the only 480 with that body kit. Back in 94 or 95 I owned a red 480 imported from Belgium with the same body kit. The car was a Turbo version in red color. Unfortunately I do not have any photos of the car :( but if I remember correctly the car HAD a custom rear end bumper also.

I have just contacted the SC Design to ask them if they can still produce the front bumper and side skirts.... let's see now.
