Mid nose job !

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Mid nose job !

Post by Curtis480Action » Sun Oct 14, 2007 10:48 pm

Not posted for a while. Thought I'd post some pics of the Celebration. I'm in the middle of re-spraying the front and back bumpers. Difficult to find a 480 without a crack in the paint somewhere.

Shame I'm having to loose the black stripe off the front bumper, can't decide whether it looks better with it on or off ?

Mid nose job :) Found a good use for 2x News of the World though !

Hope to get it finished before the temperature drops to -10

Good work! That bumper was letting the side down. Looking forward to seeing the finished article. :D

Lookin' good!

And if you find yourself at a loose end once you've finished, my Celeb could do with a 'nose-job' too!! Then again, it could actually do with a full respray..............(ah, the joys of 480 ownership!!).

Tell me about it, I had mine on the road for 3 months before I had to hide it in a garage for some rapairs. A loose end may be some time away

If you are re-spraying some bits though and need a hand, PM me :D

It's not 100% perfect but a vast improvement !!

Wow!!! That looks fantastic! I think it looks better without the strips, especially on white. Great job, fancy doing a few of mine

Much better. :D Prefer it with the stripes personally. I think it looks unfinished otherwise.

Hey nice work!

Think i would prefere it with the stripes (they are "go faster stripes" after all lol and they work ;) ) lol, on a more serioues note, i saw some of the stripes for sale and they were sooooo expensive! When i respray mine my friend said he might make me some vinyls to fit (will be a hell of a lot cheaper as you will only need a small amount!) or i might spray it in...

Let us know what you decide to do in the end :D

Looks like you've done a good job there. IMO, keep the black stripe. One of the things that makes white look good on this car is the black to break it up-too much white is over powering!

Good job none-the less :D
