clear / orange indicator lights, interchangeable?

I tried search, but could not find it...

I want to change my orange indicator lights for the clear ones...
I pressume that the clear lights of model >1994 are interchangeable with the orange lights of model 1990?

Yep, most do! - Yes, they are interchangeable. You just need to find some. And you'll need orange bulbs / glass paint.

Not true. I did this with the ES which was a 1990. The shapes of the indicator bulb holders are different and so you will have to modify the cluster itself, its not to hard just have to cut away a bit of plastic that obstructs it. Also the connectors for the clear bulbs are different to the orange bulbs so I just left the clear bulbs in, got it through an MOT like that

If you buy new ones from Volvo you get bulbs and holders with them
