Even though my Info centre died I thought I would play
with the switch.

This maybe a little too bright so I think I will filter the LED connected
to the individual Fibre optics.

My car is a S model so I have the standard dash. Why I have done
this ? May throw it in a draw when I get bored & think of something
else to do :?

Looks nice :) Perhaps it's an idea to add a bright light to the tip of the knob after dimming the lights in the various positions, so you can always see what setting you have selected :D

I like the lil white stripe on the knob, I've yet to own a 480 with one intact! :D

Mine used to sit in the same position when just started. Didn't have an air leak, as it went back to zero after 30seconds.

the way youve tinted the lights red? is it a simple change of bulbs or new filters?

it is really easy
i made a how to at he volvo480forum.com
but thats a how to with a normal light bulb en this is with 8 leds .7 instead of the white stripes and 1 in the button
this is the 3rd i made. from 2 the button is lightend up
it easy to make because the 12v led fits in the back of the button you only have the dril al little peace out of the butten and place a litte see through peace of plastic in it and put a electric wire what has room to turn.trough the infocenter switch .but there is not much space to do that and you need a electric wire what can easely can bend.
if i make another one i wil make some pictures how to do
somethimes i make them for selling .

at you tube i have a litte fragment of the working in action
