rear spoiler dimensions ?
where / how would you fasten a rear spoiler/aerofoil on a 480 ? I assume that you will need to remove the thin top side strips before placing.
What problems have you encountered in fixing a spoiler and what are the critical dimensions of a spoiler ?
Are there any other makes of spoiler for other cars which fit the 480 ?

I think JayTee is the only one on here to have a rear spoiler on a 480, have a look at his thread here:

Don't Saxo's spoilers have pretty much the same width as the 480? I'm sure i read it somewhere. I know what you mean-i think a little 'lip' on the rear would be nice-like the 850 Estates have-makes sucha difference. Gotta get it right though or could look odd! I think something of similar proportion to the front spoiler would be ideal, keeps things 'uniformed'.

on the subject of other models spoilers on 480s does anyone know of any that would fit all round the top of the tail gate rather than the ones that just fit on at each end of the spoiler to the roof? If that makes any sense? Just wondering cos would be ideal if there was-trying to stop a leak at the same time!

do you mean something like this:
Current:
Honda Civic ES I-VTEC
previous:
BMW E46 330i SE Touring
VW Mk4 Golf V6 4Motion
Toyota Celica GT-FOUR ST205 WRC
1995 (M) Dark Grey Metallic 480 Turbo
1994 (M) Flame Red Metallic 480GT
1992 (J) Black Metallic 480ES 1.7i

most 'boy racer' websites sell that kind of thing. You'd need to work out which 'normal' car is closest to the 480's dimensions and then adapt it to fit. Failing that if you're a dab hand with fibreglass, you could make your own, looks like a simple enough design to me!
Ryan.
