Airline tray?

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Airline tray?

Post by L8ERS » Fri Oct 13, 2006 10:13 pm

Is it possible to fit airline trays into the rear center storage bin of the 480?

I'm thinking of a clever fold-away table for both of the rear seat occupants.

A touch of class in a car that has tons anyway!

It would go well with a leather / alcantara reupholster - seats and doors.

why shouldn't that work out, if done properly?

use your brain, make a plan, then use your hands and build something. shouldn't be too complicated.

Remember they need a very deep slot (oh rude is that! lol) I guess your talking about the types found in rows 1 or on emergency rows and not the pull down types.

Really all I'm talking about is two A4 type tables that are attached to folding arms. They will need to; lock into place, be light and robust.

I may have to get the rear centre arm rest adapted by someone - one off commission. So it will wait a month or two. When I'm going through it / its done I'll post photos.
