Bakke - Redcap project

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Glad you all like the work. I've arranged some stuff with Lee and Laserowl. They are passing by this weekend to collect the kit, as we bought it together. We've splitted the work in 2. I made the moulds for anyone who's interested on the mainland, they'll take care of the UK customers when they got their moulds ready ...

So all mainland buyers can adress themselves to me for sideskirts or replicas of the entire Hausser kit ...

Any prices? For the entire kit and individual parts?

I tought a cleaned Volvo would look nicer with a cleaned Volvo bodykit, so I started cleaning the Volvo kit.

Front is ready for basepaint, rear needs some attention ...

Not to much to see after this evening, but I've putted it all in basepaint. Need to pass with 400grain sandpaper to remove the last dust and errors and than they are ready to be putted in color this weekend ...

So the combination is smoothed Volvo bodykit bumpers with Hausser side skirts?
Are the bumpers lowered as Goldlocks?

Im quite curious how this style turns out.

Keep the good job up!

These are my original bumpers as Goldlocks has on my avatar. Now I've got the lowered ones one Goldlocks so these were lying around ... I wont lower them as this 480 is my daily workhorse and I need to get everywhere with her. Maybe just a little 4cm drop but I'm not sre about that yet ...

Et voila front and rear are sprayed ... and pictures to prove it ...

Pictures of the front will come tomorrow as it wasn't totally dry yet and didn't want to move it ending screwing it up ...

Front is 100% fine, the rear need a little overspray because of a small spray error (little drop of paint fell of my spraygun, don't know where it came from), but it 'll come ok. All the reflections aren't errors, but the clearcote is shining so much it reflects all the suroundings

Well , the car is still in standard setup, with red faded paint, rusty wheel arches, bruises and scratches, ... as I use it as a daily ride. Needs to get at work everyday.

But next weekend I'm respraying the hood and get the rest of the car ready for the respray ... so the pictures will come soon ...

These pictures surely make my mouth water. I want to go outside and respray mine :(
Of course, I don't have the time, money, or spare car to use while I do it (Hell, or the know-how, heh)

I love the crushed redbull can on the floor. An indication of how much you're working on this? :D

One last picure : removed the inside from the rear wheel arches to prevent rust and to make shure the 17" rims will fit in nicely

This project is at full speed. I've made great progress.
I wonder how these small side strips would look in body colour. If they're unpainted they certainly stick out off the body.

You did a lot of smoothing on the body.

Is it just me or are there some Euro style influence?
