The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Hi,
nice work so far !
The last time I also thought about this conversion, but as I saw the prices for the mounting bracket´s I thought that it´s alittle bit expensive for me at the moment.
As I saw it here now, are those mounting brackets very special ? or is it probably possible to build the brackets by own with a (CNC)milling machine and some time ? only thing I don´t really know how such a bracket is looking and I think some measurement would be good to probably make a CAD plan of them.
Would probably be some fun to build the whole kit and conversion by own.
Regards
Tobi

Nice work guys, most impressive. I've always wanted lambo's from the first day i laid eyes on em.
Hope they work well..little worried bout the weight of the door? 480 doors are much larger than any car these kits are designed for. 480's commonly suffer from the doors dropping on the hinges due to the weight. I might seriously consider putting them on mine when the kits get a little cheaper...
1993 Es, turbo conversion. First ceramic coated engine running sweet. Sold! :( miss her

Forgot to post these last weekend - sorry for the night shots, was late by the time we'd finally welded the other side permanently on and made a start on this side (we haven't had much time to work on the car recently)
http://volvo480.northernscum.org.uk/sne ... ws/060805/
We're returning to HOTMD480 (.com
) this weekend to hopefully finalise the second door, then we can get the car back up north and carry on with engines and things
Cheers!

gaz/lee/wayne do they 'wave in the wind'?
saw an astra at rothervalley country park the other week...it had lambo doors, and they were a bit wobbly.....just wondered if they were secure, and the owner of these had not put them on right or sumting?
