would this work?

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Umm, joking aside, and since between Lee and yourself it seems to have brought it onto the forum, when WILL my car be done mate? All this "manyana" stuff was fine to start with, but really leaves too much scope for my car to be second, third, fourth place in line of things you need to do :(

Feel free to email/PM me the reply if you like.

A forum is open to debate, Gaz is the moderator and a such wants to set an example to the rest of the forum.

As such i would have thought that it would be in your interest to complete his car A.S.A.P as it would be the best form of advert for your business unless such a project is beyond you capabilities.

I think he is totally within his right to ask as he acquired your business through the same medium.

Lee is perfectly within his rights to comment, he has seen your work first hand and only because i asked him too, has not comented with his opinion of the technical work in comparison to his extensive knowledge.

In fact due to the length of delay for MS it was his expertise who got my car running to a decent level due to elongated estimated time of completion.

@ Gaz. Are you now opening this up to the forum? I would say that it is in the forum interest.

@ JAMO I agree, but i will go no comment on the work done to your car by others

Now before this gets silly - I'll have a say.

Jamo has pointed out that this is an open forum, so no matter what I say, I can't stop people discussing it - I am here to moderate against the rules, not censor what gets said.

That said, I have spoken with Dave and he has assured me that ill health, holidays and other things are all out of the way and he is wanted to proceed my car at a quicker rate now, after some practice (well away from my car) with a new welder. I also know he's bought some bits and bobs to help with things like making new engine mounts etc, so he has done a little bit more than it appears he has - he has told me he is ready to crack on, and he just needs practice at welding before he attacks the lambo doors. He is right in saying he has only had the kit in his posession for a few weeks (well, 4 to be super precise), as I got them just before Xmas and didn't get a chance to deliver them sooner...

I know there's a lot of people out there, especially Lee (thanks mate), who are just genuinely concerned not only about my car, but also about me and my sanity through lack of car, and I really feel warmed by a few people's responses over this.

I'm happy to leave Dave be for another week or 2 to see how far he gets (for one we have a meet to get out of the way!) and take things from there.

With that said, I do have to say, for fairness if nothing else that although there's been a lot go wrong with this project you couldn't avoid, Dave, there's been a number of things that I feel could have been avoided or speeded up, and therefore my comment about always "manyana" stands - I do want my car back, and I know you want to complete it, so perhaps a bit more focus to avoid any more interruptions would be prudent at this time, considering the original timescales (and even the 2nd or 3rd incarnation of timescales!) - I know the sprayers are booked up now,
but that doesn't matter so much - if I know roughly when stuff will be done, maybe I can get another sprayer prepared elsewhere, so don't let the fact the respray might not happen be a hindering factor to the project - if necesarry, the car can sit in my garage for a month or 3 finished, but waiting the spray job.

So to summarise:

- I believe Dave has done more than people know about
- I really appreciate the concern certain people have shown
- My patience isn't endless

I'd ask everyone to stop arguing now! :D

As always, concerned for all parties. Not my business., but would like to see this come to the best possible conclusion.

I've met, and like all parties involved.

The concern is there from your friends and getting her done would be great.

Maybe it was best to get this out because I know i/others do talk about the turbo getting done and now we have some reasons and take the heat from the fire and time to prove it will be done asap.
