sorry dude, but no......no picsMatBat wrote:I'll hopefully be viewing it today.
Do you have a picture of what they look like on a 480 rob?
If I get it I'll think about getting copy's made if it's a style people like.
Will also hopefully getting the theis copy's made too.
the only real work involved is shortening the side skirts....just such a tiny little bit, but with the arch flares, it really shows.
they look imho foookin great......if ya get it, and manage to copy it, failing a hausser falling in me lap, ill have another

yeah....on the 440 kit i had, the bumpers skins fitted onto the 480 metal bumpers.....
BUT.....
just had some pics from Andy whos selling the kit.....this is NOT the same kit i had.....the bumpers were complete....wethewr this is because they had already been bonded onto the kit etc?
looking at it though, as long as you can get some 440 bumpers too, shouldnt be too much of a prob.

I should imagine that they were bonded in some form-the valances just clip over the bumpers. You can fit the kit to the facelift model, but you have to retro-fit the mk1 440/460 bumpers to get it on.robkendall wrote:yeah....on the 440 kit i had, the bumpers skins fitted onto the 480 metal bumpers.....

Thats identical to the kit my mate has put aside for me. I've laid down the deposit and i'm picking it up off him early September. He's only charging me £150 for the whole lot, (and he's only used the skirts and front bumper, the rest is the same as that one), so there's no point me bidding on it! I should imagine that one will go for a good price-thats the first un-used one i've ever seen on ebay.Murf wrote:hmmm, wheres Dan.......
Only problem wih a 440 owner getting it, such as myself, is the rear valance. The 460 bumper is a tad longer than the 440 so a bit of chopping would be on the cards...a risky job considering how rare that kit is and a brand new replacement costs just over £280
Make an interesting project anyway! I thought alot of you guys were actually anti-bodykit anyway?

Mainly anti-maxpower-bodykit! As with anything its a matter of taste. I personally like the volvo range of 400 series bodykits, some dont. Some like the Theiss and Hausser (sp?) bodykits and some dont. Each to their own.Dan the 440 Man wrote: I thought alot of you guys were actually anti-bodykit anyway?

Well, without trying to turn this thread a completely 440 orientated way, just a few pics of 400's with the kit.
The original 460 kit as shown in the 460 brochure:
A Facelifted Red 460 with the front valance-alot clearer than the Volvo brochure pic:
And a 440 with the kit-more of a side profile shot so you can see the arch extensions/skirts:
And just for good measure....well, i'll let you make your own minds up
Could look quite interesting on a 480 (the 440 kit, not that bloody blue Airfix model!). It makes the 440 look quite wide-would it make the 480 look a bit fat? Like a 480 on steroids?
Something about me thinks that it could look quite cool, with the right subtle-ness? Or am i just being a bit
