Sideblinkers from another car

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

Sideblinkers from another car

Post by DaKyy » Mon Jun 13, 2005 5:37 pm

How about getting those clear/white sideblinkers from another car? Volvo S/V40 models, 800-series or perhaps Bmw E36 sideblinkers?

edit by coyote1980: moved from body to styling...

Maybe on Sunday I'll have a pair from E36 so I'll be able to see if they match. They are much cheaper than clear indicator for 480. About 2,5 quid a pair.

And they're probably road legal/e-marked. Let us know if it fits easily...

I love Björns version of the indicators, they look terrific! And he also made sure they're road legal as he kept the approval numbers while copying the original.

I like them too but there's a diffrence in prices. 2,5 quid and 22 Euro ;)
I'll get E36's sideblinkers just for try and see what can I do with them.

And also you can't get Björns indicators :) I've mailed him couple of times and no answer. Seems he doesn't read his mails anymore.

He is very busy with other things, at least he told me that in Sweden last year. I think in time you will be able to contact him, if you have enough patience :D As long as you don't get bounced mail back it's all OK :)

And for the rest, they may be a tad expensive, but on the other hand he is one of the few people sticking their neck out to make cool custom products for the 480, that cannot be said about AutoStyle or something like that  And the 480 is quite a cool car, why spoil it with BMW parts  (just kidding, your choice of course)

At the end of the month car will look completly diffrent. New bumper and so on but no I have to repair and tune my engine. No compresion on one cylinder. Whole engine out and lot of work. I have now some time and oother driveable car so there's no reason to make things fast. I still remember that you're waitnig for results so don't worry I'll inform you about resaults ;)
