Headrest foam replacement

Hello!

This is my first time posting here, i hope i've selected the right section.

I recently got myself my dreamcar 480 2 months ago and i'm looking to freshen it up a bit

Couple weeks ago, one of my friends noticed there was some green stuff coming out of the headrest.
Sure enough it was foam that had fallen apart... And i've been searching online and on this forum if there are any DIY replacements you can
make for the foam? I'm thinking about getting a thick sheet of foam and just cutting out parts and stuffing it in, but idk if it will look any good...

I spy early fabric!

Luckily the headrests are the same so you could simply place your cover on a later headrest.

The model is from 1989, when did the new fabric come out?

Where could i buy a new headrest? It seems so difficult to find...

Was thinking about just replacing the foam by doing some DIY type of foam cutting but i'm afraid it wont look good.

You will need to buy a secondhand headrest from a car being broken. Try Lakes at Wyboston.
The later headrest had different foam in them which doesn't seem to crumble so easily.
