Lower front spoiler/splitter

The Volvo 480 looks good as is, but if you have the desire to give it a more personal look you can find out what others did to their 480 and be inspired.

That is interesting, the side bits on mine are identical and fully painted as if they were part of the spoiler kit, certainly no sign of ever being damaged

Maybe a previous owner decided to tidy them up? I can assure you the genuine spoiler is a one piece, wrap around affair....

That does sound likely, I am finding quite a few things on the car that have been made to look intended but are not quite right

Yep, broken end of spoiler, just as explained above.

It doesn't come in sections like some but all one piece, so those bits would need to go to fit a replacement.

That's perfect, thanks all for your help, I really thought they came in sections as both sides are identical, just a bit of a clever cover up job.

just for information the 'captive nuts' inside the front bumper will probably still be 'captive' but will rotate.

makes for an intersting arm bending to get a pair of mole grips on inside and sufficient purchase outside to undo them

Don't want to make a new topic for this, but does anyone have a front lip that is damaged/not in perfect shape, and would be willing to sell it to me? Thanks

Try some of the already existing screws in the front bumper to confirm the size, if they don’t work then let me know and ill go crawl under mine and find out. I only had a couple originals so mine is held in with a medley of similar screws. Halfords can also be useful, i often buy and return small bolts/screws/fuses without any fuss, even if i rip them open in the carpark.
Volvo’s, for those who don't need to compensate

viewtopic.php?t=10927 has some tips and the prices they used to be about 20 years ago.

Try your Volvo dealer, you never know if they used these fasteners on later models.
