ADJUSTABLE PANHARD BARS

Post by cranna21 » Fri Jan 17, 2020 12:14 pm

Hi Folks,

A parts fabricator I have used quite a few times among other folks on here I'm sure also is in the process of making up adjustable panhard rods for the 480, handy bit of kit if you're lowering your 480 and want to even everything up on the back end and correct axle shift and other geometry like thrust angle!

see the link below :)

That'll be me!

Posted my panhard to Eden of GizFab last week and he has patterned it already. I saw he had a good selection of adjustable Japanese panhards on ebay (Micras... Sylvias etc) and his website looked good. I emailed him and he sounded keen. Looks like he has updated his website already!

Really look forward to delivery.

Not only is the 'adjustability' handy for my Lesjöfors kit, but rod wall thickness was seriously compromised due to corrosion. Win win.

A full fitment report will be part of my 480 diary - but we are still a long way off bolting on shiny parts... the enjoyable part!

Yeah I did think about cutting and inserting an adjustable part myself, but considering the corrosion and the state of the bushes - by the time I had faffed about welding, paid for shot blasting, powder coat, new bushes etc. I'll be at GizFab prices anyway for something custom made, so got the wallet out. This is becoming a recurring theme!
