Turbo Engine conversion

Post by Slash01 » Wed Jul 15, 2015 3:23 pm

Ok so I have the opportunity to buy a 1994 440 GLT turbo and m thinking of putting the drivetrain into my 1993 480S (Now ES).
Am I right in thinking that all the components necessary for this conversion are in the 440 or is there some 480 Turbo parts that I would need?

I'm mainly concerned around the radiator side of things as the 440 front end is taller so is the radiator the correct one for a 480 Turbo?
And same goes for the plumbing. Are all the hoses both air and water the same as for a 480 turbo?
There are always ample warnings and there are always subtle signs,
And you would have seen them coming but we gave you too much time.

It's all interchangeable.

There's a dirty great big gap behind the grille on 440/60s.

Have a guess where I'm mounting a massive front mount intercooler on my 460? ;)

Hammers can't fix a 480!!!
