2.0 upgrade options

Hi All,
Just picked up my first 480 (celebration) and after having a good look over I'm very happy with my purchase however I am interested in upgrading parts as they begin to fail or require replacement. Just to be clear I don't mean slamming her to the deck and having the boot full of amps and base speakers, just looking for any upgrade advice from experienced owners to make the best of the car.

First on the list are the brakes, the surface of its current discs are in a pretty poor condition and although working they are definitely needing replaced in the very near future. I was very surprised to learn that they are solid discs, can anyone tell me if I wanted to fit the vented brakes from a turbo would it be as simple as buying turbo calipers with mounts and then obviously buying the relevant pads and discs or is there any other components that will need changing over.
Also will this affect the ABS?

I'd love to hear from anybody that's tried this success or failure!

If any of you have any other suggestions regarding any other upgrades with engine, suspension etc. Please keep in mind I don't want to compromise too much comfort but would like to make the best of her.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks
Craig

I think that if you do a search of the forum you'll get plenty of results relating to swapping for vented brakes. A I recall from reading things in the past, you have to chnage the hubs...

TBH I wouldnt spend too much upgrading the 2 ltr NA . If you want upgradeability get a turbo...

145mph with a richmod or robou mod.

runs on rails when lowered 40mm but a harsh ride and speeds give you a fair shuggle

ask jamesy12345 for a translation

Shuggle

“Watch yourself now, Miss Hazel!” called Andy as I crossed them;
"them boords is a bit shoogly,"

Shake

meaning....it'll shake your fillings out over the speed bumps

First use recorded in the town of Auchenshoogle (I made that bit up)

Got to agree with Jim there, in standard form the turbo and the 2.0 litre are not so far apart, but if you want to tune them up a little the turbo is so much easier, as when Porsche were finished with it Volvo de-tuned it to around 120 hp.

Thanks guys,
I don't think I'll be making those kind of changes, I'm more of the subtle modder. As long as she's going, braking and handling to her best I'll be happy.
