Anything is possible if money isn't a problem.
Not an easy conversion, but it has been done, search for posts by a German member
Tobi480turbo.

The fact that you dont see much about such a project kinda answears your question.

T4 into a 480 now thats been done and pictures are on hear to prove it.

We have been thinking about this also, but in fact, change the engine to a B18FT with richmod, is much easier (and cheaper) job, and with bigger turbo, injectors, computer, etc. you can get quite big power from it. I did the same, at the moment I am running the engine with full stock parts, richmod installed, and it goes very well. I dont think I will go for further upgrades with this engine, if I calculate the time/money spent versus outcome rate, I'd rather sell the B18FT, find a T4, and make the conversion. Just my 2 cp.
