Well as the title says. Anyone have experience with this?
Cheers

Re: [480T] MAF to MAP conversion-is it possible?
not easy with the standard ecu. the difference being a maf measures the actual airflow with a heated element while a map measures the manifold pressure and then the ecu has to use a lookup table of revs against manifold pressure to get the airflow. this is because the volumetric efficiency changes (gets lower) as the revs go up. in plain english the higher the revs the harder it is for 8 valves to breath even if the manifold pressure is the same. you would need to significantly rewrite the software, maybe even add hardware for the lookup table.
the actual sensors arent interchangeable in any way unless you used some sort of piggyback ecu with rpm input, map input, lookup table to produce maf compatible signal for the standard maf input.

Why would you do that? FT has allready a MAP senzor in the turbo ecu, btw..

Hi
Have a look at perfect power's range of piggy back ecu's they provide the map tables you need for this & they're reasonably priced.

Thank you for digging my topic. Unfortunately my Turbo lost the gearbox, and conversion must wait
