I would but its coming with a Automatic! So I want to find a manual from a 480 yes? Does it have to be a 480 or can it be any of the 400 Turbo series? Cheers!

As far as I know, any of the 400 Turbo series would do the job.
The type of the Turbo gearbox is M59-373E or M59-373M (E if the car has infocentre, M if its not. E has electrical speed sensor, M mechanical)All the 480 Turbos came out with infocentre, but there were a lot of 440-460 Turbo without it.

Cheers for that mate, I'll be looking out for a 400T box then!

I'm not going to be running a standard Dash set-up so don't know yet if the electrical/ mechanical speed sensor is going to make a difference!?! Have to check with my Speedo supplier!

All 400 series turbos came with an info center and electrical speedo. only the very early 440's had a mechaical one and i doubt theres any of these left on the road now, infact i would say the 440/460 turbos are appearing to be rather more rarer than the 480 turbos now (been looking for another 440 turbo for parts for nearly 1 1/2 years now and in that time have only seen 1 for sale and wasnt going to travel 400+ miles to get a car that had failed it's MOT and wasnt taxed!) I would proabably try to contact a breakers called salvo http://www.salvogroup.co.uk/salvosite.htm as they seem to break quite a few turbos, and might be able to sort a box out for you.

2001 Ford focus (not as much fun as my volvo was!)

92 Suzuki gn250 (Still in rebuild)

Hmm maybe in the UK, I saw both 440 and 460 Turbo without infocentre around here with mechanical speedo. But I dont think my information is relevant, if he wants to buy a gearbox in the UK. :hopping:
