who will still chip a na 1.7 480, i have been i touch with a company who just simply said it was too old :cryhard:

If you want more power its cheaper to sell up and buy a turbo+richmod ;)

I like my black es too much, my dad had the same car when i was in school (same colour) and when i found this one i fell in love. i have found a turbo local to me the owner won't sell. it was her husbands who died ten years ago and the car hasn't moved since :shock: :shock: but she won't sell caus its a "tribute to him" as she says. haven't seen many others round my way. i can even thought about swapping the engine.

you dont want to swap the engine, believe me. :)

well, in the end, it is not that bad at all, you can find very good howto posts about it on the forum. :) But lets take a quick look what will you need:
So, your car is a '90 1.7. So, a B18FT complete engine with all the related stuffs, like gearbox, clutch, both cable looms (with the two ecu), intercooler, radiator, fuelpump, starter motor, aux.waterpump, complete exhaust system, cem, speedo, a garage with good equipment.. and so on... suddenly these popped to my mind. but there could be lot more, like: if your car has aircon, then the donor should be as well, for instance the radiator is different, cable loom, etc...

I decided to swap engine because mine was broken, and it needed to be removed anyway, then why not a Turbo, I tought. I bought a complete car, and I still had to buy parts from somewhere else.. So, if your car runs good, it wont worth I think. Unless if the body is that flawless.
Otherwise its easier to wait, and catch a Turbo in good condition, when you will have the possibility. Just my opinion..
